It’s funny how words can change in meaning over time. For example, did you know the word “silly” used to mean pious? The word “awful” used to have a good connotation because you were full of awe. Similarly, the word “fellowship” has changed in meaning. Today the word evokes images of meals, or simply shaking hands, greeting one another, and spending a few minutes in shallow conversation. But biblically, the word is much deeper. Today we will look at the actual meaning of the word “fellowship”, which comes from the Greek word “koinonia”.
